Fire Smoke Damage
On the afternoon of May 4th 2017, Exeter Rugby Football Club found itself the victim of a kitchen fire that threatened a planned event the next day for over 300 guests. The club CEO called on the expertise of the experienced DCP team. The team worked tirelessly through the night and by 7am on Friday 5th, the kitchen was “cleaner than its ever been” according to kitchen staff.
DCP was selected due to the speed of response and controlled costs…
Major Loss FAST Response
With our vast experience of fire damages, in particular smoke and odour mitigation techniques, DCP Consultants and Technicians were able to implement a lightening fast response in taking control of the project, with a full scope and team of 5 techs ready to start in under 60 minutes. Visible soot residues were removed and the smoke odour eliminated. BAU by 7am the next day alleviated any anxiety by the club directors.
Fire Damage mitigation involves careful evaluation of the affected materials, systems and indoor air quality. Human health is our #1 priority, especially where food preparation is concerned. Soot is a known carcinogenic and when combined with moisture it creates a corrosive Sulphuric Acid. Specific training, skills and experience are essential to eliminate the potential for cross-contamination, safety issues and secondary damage.
