Investing In Technical Excellence Across The Disaster Care Network

Adopting The IICRC Certification Pathway

Disaster Care is strengthening its commitment to technical excellence with the adoption of the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) pathway as the recognised framework for technician development and accreditation across our nationwide network.

This represents more than an investment in qualifications. It forms part of our wider approach to developing our people, strengthening technical capability and establishing high professional standards across every Disaster Care branch.

A Clear Pathway For Technician Development

The IICRC pathway provides a structured framework through which technicians can continue to develop their knowledge, practical skills and professional qualifications throughout their careers.

By aligning technician development around a recognised industry framework, we are creating a shared approach to training and progression across the network, supporting consistent standards while giving our people clear opportunities to develop their expertise.

Our ambition is for branches across the Disaster Care network to progress towards IICRC Certified Firm status, demonstrating a collective commitment to professional development and technical capability.

Strengthening Training Through the National Flood School

Our close alignment with the National Flood School will play an important role in supporting this development.

By bringing together recognised accreditation pathways with practical, hands-on training, we can provide our technicians with further opportunities to develop and apply their skills in real-world restoration environments.

This approach will also support the continued development of the Disaster Care Academy, with training and career progression increasingly aligned with IICRC standards and qualifications.

Investing in People, Skills and Quality

For Disaster Care, technical development is an ongoing investment.

As restoration techniques, technologies and client requirements continue to evolve, maintaining a skilled and knowledgeable network is essential. Continued investment in training helps our technicians build their careers while strengthening the service and expertise available across Disaster Care.

For clients and other stakeholders, that means greater confidence in the technical standards, skills and professional development supporting our nationwide restoration network.

Through continued investment in our people and the development of a recognised pathway for technical progression, we are building an increasingly capable network equipped to support customers when it matters most.
