DisasterCare is delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Lea as Technical Director, a role spanning both DisasterCare and the National Flood School.

With a strong background in the drying industry, Nick brings a wealth of technical expertise and sector insight to the team. His appointment marks an important step in strengthening our commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and professional development across the DisasterCare network.

As part of his role, Nick will lead the launch of DisasterCare’s new internal academy, first announced at the 2025 AGM. The academy will deliver structured training across every level of the business — from on-site techniques and estimating to digital tools and systems — ensuring every colleague has the opportunity to develop their skills, enhance performance, and grow with confidence.

This initiative forms a key part of DisasterCare’s mission to deliver disaster recovery with care, expertise, and innovation — building resilience for the future while setting new standards in quality and capability.
